Tomorrow sees the start of the 2019 Caravan, Camping & Motorhome show at the Birmingham NEC. The monstrous outdoor show sees everything from caravans and campers to tents and adventure equipment on display. It is a great chance to see all the latest gear and tech in person and even watch talks from celebrities such as Jason Fox and Ollie Ollerton from SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Gone are the days when the show catered just for caravan enthusiasts, there is something for people of all ages and interests at this years event. Here is our rundown of the must-see exhibitions!
Celebrity Q&A at the Freedom to Go Theatre
There is a wide range of famous guests and industry experts giving interviews at the Freedom to Go theatre within this year’s show but for us, there are a few stand our picks. Without a doubt, Jason and Ollie’s Q&A (Wednesday at 11:45 am) is top of the list, these hardened special forces veterans have become familiar faces on Channel 4’s gruelling show, SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Tuesday’s opening will also see Matt Allwright, Martin Dorey and Julia Bradbury take to the stage at 10:45 am.
Paralympic athlete and Strictly Come Dancing star Lauren Steadman is at Friday’s show (11:45 am) for a Q&A session. Lauren is an inspiration to many for what she has accomplished both in her sport and away from competition, so you won’t want to miss this one!
Brand New Lifestyle and Adventure Equipment
Another great reason to visit the show is to see all the latest and greatest innovations at the exhibitor stands. To go along with the likes of Kampa, Outwell, Omar and Ellis here are some of our picks for this year’s show.
The UK’s only Ford accredited Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) is making their debut at the show. We are a long time admirer of Wellhouse for their approach to customer support and the way they work with vehicle manufacturers to assure quality.
Their Ford Custom, Citroen Dispatch and Hyundai i800 conversions are as well equipped as they are priced so if you are in the market for a campervan we recommend checking out their stand!

Bilbo’s are the UK’s number one VW T5 and T6 conversion manufacturer, with over 40 years experience these guys were early into the VW conversion game and are still leading the way.
They will have some of their awarding winning campers on display at the show and are free to discuss any possible conversions, as well as having stock models for sale.

Red Paddle Co
Red Paddle Co are out in full force this year and are launching both an entire range of premium accessories, covering everything from cooler bags to clothing, and a brand new inflatable paddle board.
The new board has been designed from the ground up to fold-up smaller than any previous model. The savings are so much that the board can be tucked into a neat backpack and the final size is half that of other inflatable paddle boards on the market!

Designed by a Royal Navy Engineer the KAYACAT Puma and Cougar are incredibly light multi-purpose inflatable crafts that fit into a backpack. These guys are fairly new to the scene but are gaining traction quickly, with two highly configurable products.
The larger Cougar lets you sail, paddle and stand up paddle board all from one backpack. The smaller Puma is so light that it can be taken on a plane as carry on!

Sticking to the theme of lightweight inflatable equipment, GentleTent is also at the show with their extensive line of inflatable products. Covering everything from camping furniture to tents, they have something for everyone.
Their range of roof tents are certainly impressive and offer yet another way to camp on the move (not literally!). GentleTent pride themselves on producing products that are simple to use and meet their distinctive design style.
